With the monthly water releases, there are more fish than ever in the Feather River. Long a fisherman's retreat, Tobin Resort has heard every story in the book about the "one that got away". From a time before the highway was constructed, people have been journeying to this area in order to get away from the city, walk down to the river and enjoy the peace and quiet. Just a short distance away flow many streams and creeks that are exactly what many fly fishermen love, hiking up a couple miles to the perfect pool and casting in. There are enough natives to feed everyone, and beautiful rainbow trout as well. Just when you thought that there weren't any "secret" fishing holes left, we found a few.
